Shadow Glass - tea towel in charcoal
Shadow Glass tea towel
Although made in Cape Town, this design has roots in New York. It
started out as a papercut that I made after I saw an exhibition of
glassware at the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum on a trip to New York. I
was also thinking about the shadows that ancient Roman glass had cast on
the walls at the Metropolitan museum.
Shadow Glass is
screenprinted in waterbased inks onto a thick, luxuriously absorbant
woven cotton that is perfect for drying the dishes. There's a woven
Skinny laMinx tag at the back for hanging it up.
